Australian Ethical Investment has announced the appointment of Kim Heng as chief operating officer.

Heng, who joins from rt health where she served as chief technology and operations officer, previously spent almost 12 years at Local Government Super, most recently as head of IT and projects.

In her new role, Heng will be responsible for managing all product and operational activities at Australian Ethical "together with implementing an overall organisational strategy focusing on customer and technology," the firm said.

Commenting on her appointment, managing director, Phil Vernon, said: "We are delighted to welcome Kim to Australian Ethical Investment. She brings significant operational and industry expertise to our organisation which we look forward to leveraging to support the ongoing growth of our business."

Heng replaces former COO, Rob Plow, who departed the firm in October 2018.
