Assetinsure names chair

Julie Osborne is set to take the reins as chair of specialist insurer Assetinsure.

Osborne first joined the Assetinsure board in 2014 as a non-executive director. As an executive, she held senior roles at CBA and Westpac and was the executive director of business development for financial services at KPMG Australia.

Osborne currently holds board positions with Police Bank and the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research.

Assetinsure director Johnny Symmonds said they were delighted that Osborne would take over this important role. "Since [joining the board in 2014], she has guided and supported the company through some eventful times," he said.

Osborne takes over from Hans Sprangers, who retired from the board this month.
