ANZ has announced that long-serving group general counsel Bob Santamaria is retiring from the bank, effective 30 September 2019.
Commenting on his service, ANZ chief executive officer Shane Elliott said: "Bob is highly regarded throughout ANZ for not only his expert legal advice but also his strong values and tireless work ethic."
He added: "We thank Bob for his significant contribution and wish him and his family the very best in his well-earned retirement."
Santamaria's successor is Ken Adams, a senior partner with Herbert Smith Freehills, who will join ANZ on 19 August 2019.
