AMP Limited adds to board

NBN and Allianz non-executive director Kate McKenzie has added AMP Limited to her portfolio. Her appointment will be effective from 18 November.

McKenzie, a longtime Telstra executive, held several roles with the organisation during her more than 13 years with the company including group managing director for Telstra Wholesale and chief operating officer.

Most recently McKenzie was the chief executive for New Zealand-based telco Chorus.

"Given her wide range of Board and business leadership roles, Kate will bring strong expertise and insight to the AMP Board," said AMP chair Debra Hazelton.

"She has a track record of leading change within the organisations she has worked, including cultural change, as well as managing diverse stakeholders across government, communities, investors and employees. Through her career as both an executive and non-executive director, [McKenzie] has earned a reputation for integrity, great judgement and building collaborative and effective teams. We look forward to her valued contributions on the Board as we transform AMP."
