AMP Capital has announced the appointment of Marsha Beck to the newly-created role of managing director Australia, reporting to the firm's Tokyo-based Asia Pacific director, Craig Keary.

Commenting on the appointment - which brings all the retail and institutional client teams for the Australian region under one role - Keary said: "I am delighted Marsha will be leading the Australian client teams. While we reset and refocus our efforts domestically, it's important that we have the right leadership in Australia to navigate this period, ensure that we put clients at the centre of our business and set us up for future success."

He added: "The strong qualities Marsha brings in terms of customer advocacy and engagement with clients will be important as we reposition our Australian business."

Beck joined AMP Capital in 2015 as head of account management, with responsibility for leading the global account management strategy for the Asia Pacific client division. Before this, she worked in client relationship roles at Fidante Partners (Challenger Group) and Perennial Investment Partners.
