Anna Campbell is moving on from the ASX after nearly 19 years. The former GM of enterprise compliance has moved into the newly-created role of general counsel for the Australian Financial Complaints Authority.

As general counsel, Campbell will provide legal advice about issues that arise during the complaints process as well as implementing appropriate risk management strategies.

AFCA CEO and chief ombudsman David Locke said it was a pivotal appointment. "CAnna's cross-sector and regulatory experience, along with her knowledge of the financial services sector mean she's exceptionally well placed to provide expert advice on complex legal matters, corporate governance and risk management to AFCA."

Campbell said she's excited for the challenge of working with the new regulatory body. "AFCA operates in a complex and changing environment, and the functions of corporate governance and risk are more important than ever."
