Acting CEO passes the baton at AMP

AMP Limited has announced that Mike Wilkins will step down as acting CEO following the commencement this week of new CEO, Francesco De Ferrari.

Wilkins, who first joined the AMP board in September 2016, stepped up in April 2018 following the departure of CEO, Craig Meller.

In acknowledging his service, AMP chair, David Murray, said: "I would like to thank Mike Wilkins for his leadership and stewardship of the company through recent challenging times. Mike has initiated substantial changes to pave the way for the new CEO, and I look forward to retaining his valuable insights and contribution as he returns to his position as a non-executive director on the board."

Wilkins has more than 30 years' experience in financial services in Australia and Asia. Most recently, he served as managing director and CEO of Insurance Australia Group (IAG) and was previously managing director and CEO of Promina Group and Tyndall Australia.
