Aberdeen Standard institutional director departs

Aberdeen Standard Investments institutional director Andrew Heyden has left the business.

A spokesperson for the organisation confirmed his departure to Industry Moves, saying that his responsibilities "have been assumed by current members of the distribution team, as we remain committed to supporting the needs of our clients and growing our business in Australia."

Heyden first joined Aberdeen Standard Investments in 2006 as an investment analyst for European equities. He moved into client services in 2007 and became an institutional BDM in 2011. He was named institutional director in 2017 and worked with investors to improve stakeholder outcomes and share insights on investment solutions.

Before joining Aberdeen Standard he spent several years as an assistant fund manager with Deutsche Asset Management.

In comments to Industry Moves, Heyden said that he's currently taking a career break and has spent time consulting and life coaching while reviewing his options.
