Aberdeen Standard consultant relations head departs

Aberdeen Standard Investments' head of consultant relations Matthew Newham has left the organisation after more than seven years.

Newham first joined Aberdeen, then Standard Life Investments, in 2013 as investment director for the operation's wholesale business across Australasia. Before that he spent seven years as head of retail investments and in business development with JANA Investment Advisers.

A spokesperson for Aberdeen told Industry Moves that his responsibilities have been taken on by existing members of the organisation's consultant relations team.

During his time with Aberdeen Standard, Newham handled research and consultant relations functions for both institutional and wholesale operations, representing more than 20 funds and strategies across a variety of asset classes.
