2017 Review

Despite dire warnings from some of the world's economic think tanks at the beginning of the year, the sky has not yet fallen in and 2017 has proved to be a pretty good year for investors. In more good news, this year Industry Moves reported on 1,426 moves, 849 of which were appointments, with a plethora of newly-created roles and boutique start-ups.

Throughout the year, we had the privilege of conducting 123 Q&As and caught up with some influential women in the industry, including: Escala Partners' Giselle Roux, OneVue's Connie McKeage and Fidelitiy's Alva Devoy. We also shone a light on the entrepreneurs behind the launch of Grow Super, Zuper and Human Super, new boutique super funds that aim to offer members something a little different.

We heard from Industry veterans stepping down after decades at the helm, and kicked off our new emerging leaders series with an enlightening Q&A with a young KPMG professional.

We look forward to landing in your inbox once again on 25 January 2018 and to sharing some exciting news about our expanding team - stay tuned! For now, the Industry Moves team wishes all our readers a very safe and happy holiday season.
