The United Nations-supported Principals for Responsible Investment (PRI) is building out its presence in Australia with the addition of four new hires across policy, relationship management and press.

PRI has 4,000 signatories worldwide and over 190 signatories in Australia. The bigger presence in Australia will help the organisation support more growth in signatories and expand its policy work on climate-related risks and opportunities.

Satoko Asai has been appointed relationship manager and joins from Schroders Japan where she held a similar position, managing some of the largest Japanese institutional investors. Daniel Wiseman will join on 13 September in a newly created role as head of APAC policy. He was previously at ClientEarth, London, where he worked on the Climate Finance Initiative.

Mayleah House has been appointed senior policy analyst. She is admitted as a solicitor of the NSW Supreme Court and High Court of Australia and joins from the Australian Conversation Foundation, where she worked as an economic analyst and campaigner. PRI has also appointed Victoria Thieberger as APAC press manager. Thieberger was most recently at National Australia Bank.
