Financial Service Council Celebrates Excellence in the Industry

Nine executives were highlighted for excellence in their field at the Financial Services Council (FSC) Leaders Summit Gala Dinner held in Melbourne last night. Nominees and winners were recognised for their willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty in support of specific industry initiatives.

Praised for his commitment to developing fund management policies in Australia, and his continued support of Australia's financial engagement with Asia, Sam Hallinan spoke with Industry Moves about the award and his role as MD of Nikko AM.

"I was genuinely surprised and I feel like I do carry this on behalf of a lot of people, particularly on behalf of the FSC. It's a great honour."

"It's fantastic to work for Nikko, a firm that is unique in that it is connected into Asia. It's a privilege to lead it and to play a role in joining Australia into Asia. So from that perspective it's been fantastic. Hugely exciting" said Hallinan.

On extending her congratulations to the winners, FSC CEO, Sally Loane said:

"The FSC industry excellence awards are designed to acknowledge individuals in our member companies for their outstanding contributions to our industry's future.

"Since 2004, only 48 individuals have met these incredibly high standards. I am delighted a further nine outstanding nominees have been added to the list in 2016."
